Solide TNG Folge in Buchform

Klar: Man muss schon großer Star Trek Fan sein, um diese Romane überhaupt lesen zu wollen. Ebenso klar ist auch, dass das hier keine große Literatur ist – Figuren werden nicht entwickelt, innere Monologe oder überhaupt Dramatik gibt es auch nicht.

Wenn man das aber akzeptiert, hat man hier eine solide TNG Folge aus den 1990'gern vor sich. Der Plot ist dabei sehr gut, weil er im Dominion Krieg stattfindet und auf Betazed spielt. Der Planet wurde nämlich durch die Allianz der Kardassianer und Jem'Hadar besetzt und die Betazoiden entsprechend unterdrückt.

Kernproblem ist hier für die Betazoiden, dass sie nie Krieg geführt haben, weil sie erfolgreich auf Frieden untereinander und mit anderen gesetzt haben. Entsprechend wehrlos sind sie. Doch entwickeln sie trotzdem in der Not einen brutalen Plan, um mit Hilfe der Föderation und der Enterprise die Besatzer zu vertreiben. Aber am Schluss kommt es natürlich anders.
