Z 4 gwiazdki sama książka. Jednakże polecam audiobook czytany przez Grzegorza Małeckiego, świetnie się tu wpasował i to dodaje jedną gwiazdkę ekstra bo słuchowisko było czystą przyjemnością.

Sama książka dzieje się w latach piędziesiątych w okresie zimnej wojny w okolicach bieguna. Przeplata się tu kilka historii/opowieści pobocznych z głównym wątkiem.
Liczni szpiedzy, konfidenci i donosiciele, jak to w tamtych czasach.
Akcja raczej dzieje się w średnim tempie a bohaterowie często są uwikłani w niełatwe sytuacje które determinują ich działania niezależnie czy tego chcą czy nie.
Czytelnik oczekujący szybkiej akcji napakowanej wydarzeniami może się tu raczej zawieść.

It’s more like tv series novelisation as it doesn’t have depth of fully fledged book.

After a quite dull beginning the action kicks in around 40% in the book giving impression it would be simple and quite predictive book. But I'm happy to tell it's not :) The idea for plot is great with big potential and curiosity will keep you page flipping!

The grips: beginning could have been handled better than counting "blocks" and listing street numbers for so long. Characters would benefit from more depth.

I like this book and I'm already interested in in the next one from this trilogy. I think the another poditive is that first book ends in a such way as it would be separate book and reader is not forced to read next one as plot is interrupted in the middle and nothing make sense yet ;)

4.5 star - nice American classic

I’ve gave up after reading a free preview sample. Characters are behaving weird and unnaturally (except the unlucky ones from first chapter). Meaningful (story wise) info is mixed with meaningless blabling (ex. reality shows etc) which I’m avoiding in my everyday life and don’t fancy to read about them in books that I like to read.
Free sample haven’t interested me to read the rest. Not my pair of shoes.
